The monument to an ugly person was established in the Italian town Piobbico by the members of the international Club dei Britti- the Club of the Ugly People. The idea of this monument appeared many years ago, when 128 women in this small town claimed that they suppose their appearance to be an obstacle for getting married. To help the desperate women the authorities founded the first marriage agency for them. This club became popular later in 1960 thankful to Telesforo Jacobelli, a man who could seem attractive to the modern women, but was suffering from the complex connected with the length of his nose. Transcendental Meditation and David Lynch

Do you like David Lynch? Do you appreciate his surreal visual style? I do. David Lynch is my favorite filmmaker of today. I watched Blue Velvet when I was 11-years-old. Actually I didn’t understand much about the storyline, some things were too strange to me. Anyway I was captivated by the movie. The cast, the music, the style are surpassing. Later I watched all his movies. And I’m among those who admire everything Lynch creates.

Intuition – the Way to Yourself

Everybody has a powerful life guide which can help them to avoid obstacles and find the best solutions of the problems. The name of this guide is intuition, or the sixth feeling, which presents our connection with the inner world of our emotions, sub conscience and cognitive feelings. However, some of us do not know how to use the power of intuition for their benefit, the others even doubt whether they have the talent of intuition at all. The fact is, we all have a connection with our second, more perceiving self, though sometimes this connection should be strengthened by using pretty simple techniques.

First of all, you should learn how to trust yourself. Your intuition works even if you do not believe in it and you should accept the fact of its existence in order to make its voice heard. Note, that the first thought or even a hint of the thought which came to your mind is an intuitive one, as the intuition is always the first to react.

Downshifting Gets In Trend

The conversations about stress, acceleration of time, constant strive for perfection and carrier promotion have become quite common nowadays. However, some people prefer not to speak of these problems but solve them in the most effective way – by downshifting to another place and another life style as well. Downshifting has become a new trend in the modern society and there are some well-grounded reasons for it.

May be even the thought of moving to some far away southern country and working not only for the promotion and wellness but for food and shelter sounds impossible to you, but you’d better think of the advantages of this decision before coming up with your opinion.

First of all, think of the impact the downshifting will produce on your health. Most people living in big cities suffer from depression, heart diseases and mental disorders. Living somewhere on the shore of the ocean will make you calmer and save you from potential dangers caused by stress, sleep disorders and constant nervousness.

It is not easy to realize the true definition of freedom. It is way harder to understand that every living creature is entitles to possess this freedom. It has been a difficult issue for a lot of philosophies to solve. Can animals and humans have equal freedom rights?
